On Friday, Oct. 20, singer-songwriter Noah Kahan performed at the Country Club of Virginia’s James River Course for the Dominion Energy Charity Classic. It was pouring rain, but the crowd remained steady, awaiting his performance. After being pushed back two hours, Kahan played his set, which was unfortunately cut short due to time restraints. It was initially announced that the set would be two hours long, yet it only ended up lasting an hour. Although the concert was short, many were still sad that they missed one of the rising stars of 2023.

In interviews with several people who were unable to attend, the majority were envious after seeing their friends’ posts on social media and hearing positive remarks. Claire Curtis (‘24) was “beyond jealous” after seeing her friends get into the concert without tickets, while she was at home with her “not as good as Noah Kahan” family. Similarly to Curtis, Katherine O’Toole (‘25) was so infuriated she refused to comment on the matter.

Katie Cullen (‘24) and Kimber Reeves (‘24) ventured to the concert together and had a stellar time. They raved about the cleanliness of the venue, noting the lack of mud, which they’d expected due to the weather. Katherine Martin (‘24) was grateful for the core memory with some of her best friends while screaming their favorite songs in the rain.
