Talking to Strangers

“If I asked you to name all the things you love, how long would it take for you to name yourself?” -Unknown

We don’t always focus on looking at the good in ourselves for a variety of reasons: fear of looking selfish, insecurity, or simply because we don’t see the value of self-love. But I think that value is definitely there, and I believe that, as a society, we need to put more focus on appreciating the beauty of our own being, in order to promote positivity and love, as opposed to destructive, self-deprecating attitudes. So I took to the cafes, sidewalks, and shops of downtown Richmond, as well as our own Collegiate hallways, to ask people the question:

“What’s one thing you love about yourself?”
